How Dealer Badges Are Calculated
All dealer badges are generated using deterministic, algorithmic scoring. No dealer can pay to influence badge outcomes. Badges are compared only within the current result set for a given product, weight, quantity, and payment method selection.

The "Strongest Overall Value" designation uses a weighted composite score across five dimensions:
- Cost Competitiveness40% weight — Normalized 0–100 scale where the lowest landed cost = 100
- Support Quality20% weight — Based on support type scoring
- Secure Shipping15% weight — Packaging, insurance, signature policy
- Longevity15% weight — Normalized against longest-tenured dealer in set
- Optimization Potential10% weight — Whether savings breakpoints exist
Scoring Principles
- All scores are deterministic and reproducible for the same inputs
- No paid badge overrides — badges are algorithmic only
- Dealers are compared only within the current result set
- Tie-breakers are applied consistently: lower landed cost first, then older established year
